A signature Arabian Adventures experience, our Evening Desert Safari is a magical trip to the Dubai desert under the setting sun.
With exciting activities and cultural entertainment in Bedouin-inspired spaces, you’ll be treated to completely unique experiences, backdropped by breathtaking natural scenery.
Your evening will begin with pick-up from your hotel or residence in Dubai, before you’re transported to the mesmerising remote landscape of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR), just outside the city.
You’ll have the perfect introduction to the desert at the DDCR Visitor Centre – access to which is included – where you’ll explore immersive exhibits on indigenous flora and fauna.
In an air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle, you’ll then get acquainted with the desert terrain as you’re taken on a thrilling drive across the dunes. Our expert guides will be on hand to help you spot fascinating native wildlife throughout your desert safari, including later in the evening when you embark on an enchanting nature walk through the dunes.
Memorable desert experiences will punctuate your evening. A ride on an Arabian camel provides a charming snapshot of local desert life while an optional sandboarding session will see you sail down the dunes in a unique, heart-racing activity.
Then, as the sun begins to creep towards the horizon, you’ll stop at an idyllic lounge area with panoramic views across the desert. You’ll be served Aperol Spritz *– or other house beverages or soft drinks if you prefer – before a captivating traditional falcon display takes place in the glowing orange sky above you.
As the light begins to fade, you’ll retreat to the welcoming embrace of a Bedouin-style camp. In this beautiful traditional setting, you’ll enjoy a mouth-watering BBQ buffet, including special live cooking stations to showcase the process behind your tantalising Arabian dishes.
You’ll be served further soft drinks or house beverages in the camp as your wonderful evening concludes with stargazing underneath a mesmeric, twinkling night sky.
After returning to your hotel or residence in Dubai in an Arabian Adventures vehicle, you’ll go to bed still buzzing with excitement from a truly special evening.

Know before you go
- We recommend wearing lightweight, breathable clothing and comfortable, robust shoes for your Evening Desert Safari. Find out more about what to wear on a desert safari
- We recommend wearing sunscreen for the safari and packing a pair of sunglasses and a hat
- Temperatures can fluctuate in the desert quite quickly. Warm afternoons can turn into cool evenings, particularly in the winter months
- While we endeavour to show you as much wildlife as possible, we cannot predict the movements of every species. Therefore, if some of the animals change their plans, we can’t guarantee you’ll spot them
- We will work to accommodate special dietary requirements when they are shared with us in advance. Please contact our team via WhatsApp to share your requirements, or complete a contact form
- Please inform our team of any existing medical conditions before joining us for your Evening Desert Safari. Where necessary, we will work to make alternative arrangements for certain activities to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all guests throughout the experience
- Please note, expectant mothers and guests with pre-existing medical conditions are unable to join us for the dune drive section of the experience but are invited to join us for all other excursions
- During the Holy Month of Ramadan, water will continue to be available to guests. However, we kindly request that it is consumed in our vehicles during daylight hours. Water may not be consumed outside during daylight hours, however, there will be plenty of opportunities to drink in the vehicles throughout your experience. Speak to your tour guide if you have any questions

Age policy
- The following age brackets apply for booking purposes:
- Adults: 12 years old and above
- Children: 5-11 years old
- Infants: Below 5 years old
- A private vehicle must be booked for infants or those under 135cm height. Details must be shared with our team at the time of booking
Cancellation policy
- We understand that plans can change. If they do, please let us know at least 24 hours prior to your activity. We will not be able to process refunds for bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before your activity starts
- Full payment for your booking is required at least two days prior to your activity. If payment is not received before the expected date, we reserve the right to cancel your activity
- In exceptional circumstances, we may have to amend the Evening Desert Adventure schedule or cancel the activity entirely. We reserve the right to amend and cancel activities in such circumstances, and will ensure we communicate any changes in advance where possible
