Health and Safety
Arabian Adventures is committed to the highest standards of service and safety. We benefit from the extensive support of the Emirates Group health and safety department, as well as a Group-wide Integrated Management System that covers all areas of health and safety and management of risk.
Our tour and safari guides are trained in first aid and carry first aid kits in all of our coaches and vehicles. Guides carry mobile phones and vehicles are fitted with GPS trackers to ensure ease of communication.
We also perform risk assessments on all excursions. A full review of legal and insurance requirements is done by the Emirates Group for all third party product resold to our partners.
Sustainable Tourism
As a company rooted in the culture and landscape of the UAE, we recognise the importance of taking responsibility for the protection and conservation of our incredible environment. In recognition of our ongoing efforts to keep the UAE beautiful, we are one of only a handful of companies allowed to operate in the protected Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR). In practice this means…
- A portion of every safari fee is donated towards vital conservation work
- We always use energy and other resources efficiently, minimise waste, and operate in the most environmentally responsible manner possible
- We perform garbage segregation, reduce and recycle plastic waste wherever possible and support similar work performed by the DDCR
- We lead by example and motivate our supply train and stakeholders to adopt more sustainable behaviour
- We have a designated Environment Manager and a specialist Green Team to coordinate our efforts
We are also a 2021 recipient of the Travelife Partner award, the leading international sustainability certification in the travel industry. This global recognition was awarded to Arabian Adventures for repeatedly demonstrating excellence in sustainability management, supplier relations and customer communications. Arabian Adventures is the first and only DMC in the UAE to achieve this prestigious certification.

The United Arab Emirates

Oman
Neighbouring the UAE on the southwest corner of the Arabian Peninsula, surrounded by rich blue waters teeming with life, the Sultanate of Oman is one of the oldest civilisations on earth. Fought over by many including the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Romans and Portuguese for thousands of years due to its strategic location, it was also once the heart of a maritime empire that reached as far as modern-day Tanzania. Today, Oman remains the oldest independent state in the Arab world and in keeping with Arabian tradition, one of the most welcoming. Thanks to its otherworldly landscapes that include rugged fjords, the kilometre deep canyon of Wadi Ghul and the coastal wonder of the Musandam Peninsula, it was also named one of the world’s best tourist destinations by Lonely Planet.
