The true character of Dubai lies in its effortless blending of the old with the new, and a clever mix of ancient and contemporary wonders. One of the best places to study the many facets of the city is at Dubai Creek, where we organise several unique and unusual tours - ranging from a wooden sail boat, to a sleek all-glass boat.

• Dhow cruises

  Our tours aboard traditional dhows (wooden sail boats) offer intriguingly different perspectives of Dubai. Alternating between its most historic sites and some of its most stunning architecture, guests are guaranteed some of the most unusual sights and sounds of Dubai.

  The choice of timings and activities is just as wide: breakfast voyages in the early morning light, leisurely lunchtime journeys, and moonlit cocktail and dinner cruises. The dhows can also be booked for the whole day, for staff parties or corporate exercises.

  All dhows are equipped with premium audio visual equipment, making it ideal for meetings and presentations. We can also organise team building activities on board, conducted by experienced professionals.

  The dhows can accommodate a maximum of 110 guests, are licensed to serve alcohol, and bespoke arrangements can be made for catering and for entertainment on board. Choices include international buffets, Arabic repasts, and fine dining.

  

• Rustar

  A widely recognised icon of Arab culture, dhows are traditional wooden sailing vessels that were once used along the coasts of the Arabian Peninsula, Pakistan, India and East Africa. The dhows represented a flourishing trade which stretched from the Mediterranean up to China in the 16th and 18th centuries. When the pearling industry was at its height in the 19th and early 20th centuries, hundreds of pearling dhows were actively employed in carrying thousands of men who dived for the finest pearls.

  Our exclusive dhow cruise on the Rustar, with meals served on board, is an experience marked by a warm environment, premium hospitality and friendly service. The sailing takes in almost the entire length of the Dubai Creek, past the Heritage and Diving Villages out to the open sea, and returning to cruise near Maktoum Bridge with a quick turn before berthing. Sailing normally commences around sunset and lasts two hours, but can be altered to a lunch cruise.

  Two decks on the Rustar are dedicated to dining spaces while the lowest level features a bar and a dance floor. A variety of entertainment options are available on board as guests watch the skyline slip past them, including live music by an international singer, and the famed Tanoura dance of Egypt.

  

• Bateaux Dubai

  The Bateaux Dubai is a unique boat that provides an unforgettable experience by combining fine dining and fantastic sightseeing, and the all-glass vessel offers unobstructed 360 degree views of the Dubai Creek.

  On request, we can make this unusual yet exceptional venue available for staff gatherings, product launches, meetings, and special events.

  A choice of gourmet meals is prepared fresh on board, and options include either a la carte or set menus for lunch, dinner and cocktail receptions. We can also create unlimited beverage packages to include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Other special services include a private red carpet entrance, personalised menu cards featuring logo and welcome text, and a choice of music.

  Bateaux Dubai can accommodate up to 200 seated guests or 300 standing guests.
