A Capital Adventure

Tour of Abu Dhabi

From Dubai, we travel past the world’s largest man-made port at Jebel Ali and nward for a two-hour drive along a coastal desert road lined with acacia trees, to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Here, you will see modern interpretations of Arabian architecture in the many skyscrapers, villas and palaces that line our route along the Riviera-style Corniche. A new addition is the majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the third largest in the world, named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first President of the United Arab Emirates. We stop here for a photo opportunity of this Islamic architectural masterpiece.

We then visit the Heritage Village where souks, an old fishing village and bedouin tents have been replicated to give you an experience of the traditional life in Abu Dhabi. After lunch, we stop at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation and outside the magnificent mirates Palace Hotel for photos. We then drive past the Batinah Harbour and the Sports City – the biggest soccer stadium in the Middle East. This concludes our tour of the emirate that is so like Dubai and yet so different.
