After travelling through the rolling desert north of Dubai, we strike out for adventure in the rocky canyons of the Hajar Mountains, following the trail of ancient wadis before stopping for an alfresco picnic lunch.* 

After lunch, we drive on to the Hatta Heritage Village to visit the museum housed in a restored fort before returning to Dubai.
